How does faith relate to science?

Faith and science seem to be at odds with each other. In science, different laws apply than in faith. Yet, there are many Christian scientists who believe in God with conviction. 

Biologist and Christian Drs. Ben Hobrink wrote the book 'Modern Science in the Bible' and mentions several remarkable facts from the Bible. For example, about Noah's ark:

Noah's ark is a well-known boat. God told Noah to build a boat to survive the flood. And what turns out? The model of the ark appears to be the best and most stable boat design and is ideal for a non-powered sea vessel.

The reality is also: not everything in the Bible can be tested or argued by means of science. Believing in something you cannot see or measure is fundamentally different from practicing science.
