A new meeting place: Support us

Update July 7, 2025: In the coming period, we can really use the support of our Reformed Congregation Apeldoorn. Volunteers and financial contributions are welcome. As of August 1, 2025, we will be renting the building for a period of 5 years. The current shopkeeper will deliver the building empty. It will truly be empty—a large, bare, vacant space. Volunteers will need to take care of various tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and decorating. Visits to other locations have given us several ideas regarding the layout, decoration, and inventory. We want to make it a warm, cozy, and inviting home. For all of this, we need volunteers, but money is also important. Without funds, we cannot get started. The estimated furnishing and inventory costs are about €15,000. We also need to pay rent, energy costs, and many other expenses; see the summary budget below.

Update October 1, 2025: At the moment, there is a lot of work being done in the building on Asselsestraat. (Almost) every day, someone can be found rolling up their sleeves, whether it’s tiling, installing a kitchen, painting, or plastering. It’s all turning out really well. Soon, the renovation will be finished, and then we’ll be waiting for the interior and further decoration. As soon as everything is set up, we can open the doors for you as a visitor. As soon as the opening date is known, we will certainly let you know and warmly welcome you as a visitor!

Annually, we are looking at an amount of just under €50,000. There is already good news: for the next 5 years, the rent is at least already guaranteed. Will you contribute as well?
